Distinguished and Chancellor's Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UCI, NAI Fellow, Foreign Member Academia Mexicana de Ciencias Before joining UCI as the Chancellor's Professor in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MEA), Dr. Madou was Vice President of Advanced Technology at Nanogen in San Diego. Madou was the founder of SRI International's Microsensor Department, founder and President of Teknekron Sensor Development Corporation (TSDC), Visiting Miller Professor at UC Berkeley and Endowed Chair at the Ohio State University (Professor in Chemistry and Materials Science and Engineering). He specializes in the application of miniaturization technology to chemical and biological problems (BIO-MEMS). He is the author of several books in this burgeoning field he helped pioneer both in Academia and in Industry. "Fundamentals of Microfabrication," an introduction to MEMS and NEMS, has become known as the "bible" of micromachining. He founded several micromachining companies and has been on the board of many more. Many of his students became well known in their own right in academia and through successful MEMS start-ups. Dr. Madou, today, works with research teams in India (IIT Kharagpur), Mexico (Tec de Monterrey and UNAM), Malaysia (UM) and Germany (KIT). In the recent past he also worked on large projects with teams in South-Korea and Canada. Dr. Madou has an h-index of 77 (as of January 3, 2021) and he is considered the pioneer of two research fields that are now being pursued worldwide i.e., Carbon Micro-and Nanofabrication (C-MEMS and C-NEMS) and Compact Disc Fluidics (CD-Fluidics) for Molecular Diagnostics. These two technologies have resulted in at least 10 start-up companies worldwide. From those founded by Dr. Madou, Enevate, a lithium-ion battery company in Irvine, CA) is the largest and best known.

Professor Ian R. McAndrew FRAeS is a very highly qualified academic with extensive experiences within industry and internationally recognized researcher with extensive teaching experience at all levels of education. Conference and Journal publication of 71 over 30 years, six books and numerous Keynote presentations around the world. Has supervised 129 students to their doctoral completion. Extensive consultancy experience internationally for multi-nations and organizations. Leading a global doctorate program of in excess of 350 students. As the Dean of Doctoral Programs at Capitol Technology University he is responsible for 23 different Doctoral Programs ranging from Cyber security, Analytics, Aviation, Aeronautical Science and Technology based.

Shen Yin is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, NTNU. His research interests include fault diagnosis and fault-tolerance, safety and reliability, risk and maintenance strategy, system and control theory, data-driven monitoring and optimization, machine learning and computer vision, industrial cyber physical systems.

Leslie Yeo is a Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering at RMIT University, Australia. He received his PhD from Imperial College London in 2002, for which he was awarded the Dudley Newitt prize for a computational/theoretical thesis of outstanding merit. Prior to joining RMIT University, he was a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Notre Dame, USA, after which he commenced a faculty position at Monash University. He also held the Australian Research Fellowship and Australian Research Council Future Fellowship from 2009 to 2017. Dr Yeo was the recipient of the 2007 Young Tall Poppy Science Award from the Australian Institute for Policy & Science 'In recognition of the achievements of outstanding young researchers in the sciences including physical, biomedical, applied sciences, engineering and technology', and several awards for excellence in research and innovation both at Monash and RMIT. Dr Yeo is co-author of the book Electrokinetically Driven Microfluidics & Nanofluidics (Cambridge University Press), and the author of over 235 research publications and 25 patent applications. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the American Institute of Physics journal Biomicrofluidics and an editorial board member of Interfacial Phenomena & Heat Transfer and Biosensors.

Dr. Dongsheng Li is professor at Shantou University and director of Guangdong Engineering Center for Structure Safety and Health Monitoring. Before joining Shantou University in 2018, he served as an engineer in industry for five years and worked in Dalian University of Technology as a lecture/associated professor for 16 years. Dongsheng Li received his B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai, China, in 1994; his M.S. degree from the Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, China, majoring in engineering mechanics; and Ph.D. degree from the University of Siegen, Germany in 2012. His research interests include structural health monitoring and structural dynamics, including fiber Bragg grating sensing, damage identification under varying environment, optimal sensor placement, and random loading identification. He developed a novel loading-dependent sensor placement theory that depends on both structural characteristics and actual loading conditions. His contributions also include the strain transferring mechanism in optical fiber sensors. He is the recipient of the 2008 Dominick J. DeMichele Scholarship Award by the Society of Experimental Mechanics. He is currently the Editor of Structural Durability & Health Monitoring Frontiers Research of Architecture and Engineering, and Advances in Civil Engineering (Indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded). He has published more than 80 technical papers in international refereed journals and conferences. His paper was cited more than 1000 times.

Dr Jain has done his Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from IIT Delhi. He joined Solid State Physics Laboratory and worked as Director Grade scientist. He was head of the silicon devices and Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) division and developed many new technologies. He has also developed the technology for space quality silicon solar cells and among these technologies a few have been transferred to industries. His result of electro-luminescence in porous silicon was considered as the first International observation and it was reported as NEWS by Photonics spectra USA, Electronics Asia. He is among those, who have started the MEMS programme in the country and also produced many devices. Dr. Jain was also associated with the National Programme on Smart materials & MEMS technology from the beginning. He has published more than 200 papers in National & International journals, edited a few books and has filed 45 patents. He has received the Technology award in 2002. He worked as Emeritus Scientist of CSIR at NPL up to June 2007. He has made a multidisciplinary department with most modern facilities in Amity University. He has also brought a large number of research projects from different Gov. funding agencies including many ongoing projects on solar energy and thermal energy storage. He has organized many International and National conferences, delivered invited lectures at many places, and visited many laboratories and institutes abroad. He got the Award in 2012 from "Power of Ideas" (DST programme) and from Royal Academy of U.K. "On the pocket friendly reusable water purification system" based on nanomaterials. Very recently technologies developed of room temperature LPG sensor, fly ash battery and cleaning of industrial waste water technology using nanonmaterials have been transferred to industries for commercialization. He is working in the areas of solar energy, sensors, bio sensors, water purification MEMS, Nanomaterials and on some others. Among his recent contributions, his Agri-voltaic work, which can double the income of the farmers is very popular. Generation of electric power from the waste water and simultaneously cleaning the same water is another outstanding work. He has started two new institutes at Amity University, Amity Institute of Advanced Research and Studies (Materials & Devices) & Amity Institute of Renewable and Alternative and working as the Distinguished Scientist & Professor.

Shi-Di Huang obtained his Bachelor degree in 2009 at Fudan University, majoring in Physics. He then went to the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) to pursue his Ph.D degree and then worked as a postdoctoral researcher in CUHK after graduating in 2014. He joined Southern University of Science and Technology in 2017. His research interests cover a wide variety of topics, including fundamental research and industrial applications of turbulence, physical oceanography, dynamics and statistical behaviors of plankton, non-linear self-organization and complex network.

David Bassir is Professor at the French University of Technology and Senior Researcher at ENS Cachan/Universite Paris-Saclay. He holds MSc and PhD in structural optimization from University of Franche-Comte and Doctor Honoris Causa from, Yuzuncu Yil University, Turkey. His administrative positions and duties included Dean at University Institutes of Technology, University of Lorraine, Consul of Science and Technology at the French Embassy in China, General Director of Research at the ESTP-ENSAM (Paris), Space Craft engineer at GECI Technology in different Space Agencies such as Arianespace (France) and Matra Marconi Space (Astrium Group) and more. Prof. Bassir was an invited visiting professor in leading universities, including TUDelft, Shanghai Jiaotong, Northwestern Polytechnical, University of Oviedo, MIT Boston and Chinese Academy of Sciences. He published over 120 papers in journals, books and conference proceedings on various subjects of Composites materials, Parameter identification, Additive manufacturing, Structural Optimization and Multiscale modelling and analysis. He serves as member of various expert committees in many international organizations and highly estimated scientific societies. Since 2012, he is the founder and the president of the Sino-french Association for Sciences and Technology.

Dr. Alexander L. Kalamkarov is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada since 1993, and Director of Smart Materials Centre since 1995. He was awarded PhD degree from the Moscow Lomonosov State University in 1979 and the Doctor of Sciences (Habilitation) from the Academy of Sciences of the USSR in 1990. His academic career spans over 40 years in Research and University teaching. He has taught in the Universities in the USA, England, France, Australia, Japan, Brazil and visited numerous Universities and Research Institutes around the world. Prof. Kalamkarov is awarded the CANCAM Gold Medal for the "Outstanding contribution in the area of Applied Mechanics" in 2011. He is awarded the Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in 2002; the Fellow of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering (CSME) in 2001; and the Fellow of the Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) in 2007. Prof. Kalamkarov is a Member of numerous prestigious International Editorial and Advisory boards and the International Conference Organizing Committees in the area of advanced composite materials and smart structures. Research performed by Prof. Kalamkarov in the areas of advanced composite materials and smart materials and structures is internationally recognized. He has authored more than 350 research publications, including over 150 refereed journal papers, & Research Monographs and 2 US patents. Prof. Kalamkarov has made major contribution to the fundamental analysis, design and optimization of composite materials and smart composite structures, composite reinforced shells and plates.

Currently a fellow of ASME, ASCE, EMI and HKIE, Ir Professor Lim received a B.Eng. from University of Technology of Malaysia, M.Eng. and PhD from National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, respectively. Prior to joining City University of Hong Kong, he was a post-doctoral research fellow at The University of Queensland and The University of Hong Kong. He is also a visiting professor at various universities worldwide. He has expertise in theory of plates and shells, dynamics of smart piezoelectric structures, nanomechanics, metamaterials and symplectic elasticity. He is currently the subject editor for Journal of Sound and Vibration, joint-editor for Journal of Mechanics of Material and Structures, subject editor for Applied Mathematical Modelling, Associate Editor (Asia-Pacific Region) for Journal of Vibration Engineering & Technologies, Associate Editor for International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, etc. and also on the editorial board of some other top-ranked international journals. He has published one very well-selling title entitled "Symplectic Elasticity", co-authored with W.A. Yao and W.X. Zhong from Dalian University of Technology, as recorded by the publisher, World Scientific, in Engineering Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering. He has published more than 300 international journal papers. Recently Professor Lim was awarded the prestigious 2020 JN Reddy Medal as recognition "For significant and original contributions to vibration of plates and shells, smart piezoelectric structures, nanomechanics, and symplectic elasticity". He was also previously awarded Top Referees in 2009, Proceedings A, The Royal Society. Professor Lim is a registered professional engineer in Hong Kong.

Len Gelman, PhD, Dr. of Sciences (Habilitation) joined HuddersfieldUniversity as a Professor, Chair in Signal Processing/Condition Monitoring and Director of Centre for Efficiency and Performance Engineering,in 2017 from Cranfield University, where he worked as Professor and Chair in Vibro-Acoustical Monitoring since 2002. Len developed novel condition monitoring technologies for aircraft engines, gearboxes, bearings, turbines and centrifugal compressors. Len published more than250 publications, 17 patents and is Co-Editor of 12Springer books. He is Fellow of:British Institute of NDT, International Association of Engineers and Institution of Diagnostic Engineers, Executive Director, International Society for Condition Monitoring, Editor-in-Chief, International Journal of Engineering Sciences (SCMR),Chair, annual International Condition Monitoring Conferences, Honorary Co-Chair, annual World Congresses of Engineering, Co-Chair, International Congress COMADEM 2019 and Chair, International Scientific Committee of Third World Congress, Condition Monitoring. Len is Editorial Board member of the International Journal "Electronics", the International Journal "Sensors", the International Journal "Energies", the International Journal "Insight",the International Journal of Acoustics and Vibration, the International Journal of Prognostics and Health Management,the International Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences, the International Journal Vibration and Acoustics Research and the International Journal Signal, Image and Video Processing. He was Chair,First World Congress, Condition Monitoring, Chair, Second World Congress, Engineering Asset Management and Chair, International Committee of Second World Congress, Condition Monitoring. Len is Chair of International CM Groups of ICNDT and EFNDT and Member of ISO Technical Committee, Condition Monitoring. Len made 42 plenary keynotes at major international conferences. He was Visiting Professor at ten Universities abroad. Len received two Rolls-Royce (UK) Awards for Innovation, COMADIT Prize (by British Institute of NDT) for significant contribution through research/development in condition monitoring, Oxford Academic Health Science Network Award, William Smith Prize by UK Institution of Mechanical Engineers and USA Navy Award.

Lecturer Dr. (c.) Begum ERTEN She works at Istanbul Gedik University Gedik Vocational School Occupational Health and Safety Program. She graduated from Kocaeli University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Geophysical Engineering. Afterwards, she provided consultancy services to different sectors as an Occupational Safety Specialist. She completed McS degree at Istanbul Aydin University, Department of Occupational Health and Safety and worked on risk assessment methodologies. She continues PhD studies at Marmara University, Occupational Health and Safety Department and focuses on occupational health and safety in renewable energy sources in her thesis studies. She works as a referee in national/international journals. She is a member of the International Society of Engineering Science and Technology (ISEst), which has been bringing together academics and researchers from different countries of the world under relevant working groups for one and a half years. In this context, she continues activities in the ISEst "Energy and Sustainable Environment" working group. She has national and international academic studies. In her academic studies, she works on energy, renewable energy resources, energy management, risk management, environmental effects, human health, safety culture, sustainability, innovative approaches and application areas that emerged with industrial revolutions. It adopts a multidisciplinary approach in its academic studies. She takes part in national and international conference and symposium organizing committees.

Yasser M. Madany is a Doctor of Engineering at Air Defense College, Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt. He is member of the Association of Egyptian Engineers (AEE) [since 1994], Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) [since 2001], European Association on Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP) [since 2014], Asian Advanced Materials Congress (ASAMC) Advisory / Organizing Committee Member [since 2016], Arab Experts Network (AEN0 [since 2020], International Union of Radio Science (URSI0 [since 2021]. Dr. Madany is currently a Senior member, IEEE, and URSI Senior Member. Dr. Madany received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE), specialization in Antennas and Wave Propagation from Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt, in 1994, 2002 and 2005, respectively. He has published more than 80 research papers regarding antennas (microstrip - fractal - bandgap - radar - wireless - active - nanowires), microstrip array antennas (planar - switched - phased - smart - MIMO), numerical methods in computational electromagnetics (MOM - FDTD - FEM), microstrip transmission lines and filters, waveguide and waveguide structures, RF pulse compression systems and technologies, smart communications technologies, smart guidance technologies, CRLH-TL and metamaterial technologies and applications, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) guidance and technologies, radar theory; design and analysis (monostatic - bistatic), microwave engineering (radar - communication) applications, navigation sensor applications, radio frequency identification (RFID) applications, smart communications network systems and electromagnetic pulse (EMP) design and technologies. Dr. Madany has supervised numerous graduation projects (more than 50 project) and M.Sc. and Ph.D. postgraduate degrees (more than 16 theses). He was a technical program committee member in many international conferences, journals [IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components, the Electron Devices Society, Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES), IET, "Radar, Sonar & Navigation", IET, "Microwave, Antennas & Propagation", ELSEVIER, Computing and Digital Systems (IJCDS), Microwave], and SciTech Publishing, Inc. He was engineering laboratory consultant for many fields. Dr. Madany has served as the Technical Program Chair for the 2021 International Telecommunications Conference, ITC-Egypt 2021, Editor-in-Chief, International Journal of Telecommunications, IJT and Invited Speaker at different international and national conferences. Dr. Madany was included in Who's Who in the World, published in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019 editions, respectively, included in Who's Who in Science and Engineering in the 2011-2012 and 2016-2017 editions and included in the 2017, and 2018 Albert Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who's Who.

Christiaan Oosthuizen is an Engineering lecturer at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT, South Africa). He obtained an MSc from ESIEE in Paris and an MTech (Engineering) from TUT, furthermore, he obtained a PhD from the Paris-Saclay University (France) in Mathematics and Computer Science and a DEng in Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics) from the TUT. He is the co-founder, Chief Technology Officer, and co-manager for an academically operated solar-powered electric vehicle project running since 2014. He is also a Certified Energy Manager with The Association of Energy Engineers in America. His research experience and interests are in the areas of Automotive Mechatronics (electric vehicles), Mathematical Modelling (mainly electromechanical systems), Computer Science (parallel computing and big data) and Mathematical Energy Optimization (sustainable and green living). He has published various research works on electric vehicle energy estimation, electric vehicle mathematical modelling and big data processing for accurate electric vehicle range estimation. Christiaan is currently working on improved passive cooling methods for Lithium batteries and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM) for in-hub usage by electric and solar electric vehicles.

Dr. Ahmed M. M. Ibrahim is an assistant professor at the Production Engineering and Mechanical Design Department, Faculty of Engineering, Minia University, Egypt. He is also a researcher in mechanical and vehicle college, Hunan University, China. Dr. Ahmed M. M. Ibrahim got his Ph.D. in 2016 from Wuhan University of Technology, China. His research focuses on Non-conventional machining methods, Sustainable machining, eco-friendly cooling and lubrication techniques, tribology, self-lubricating composites, and functional structures. His professional career extends over 13 years of scientific researches, University teaching, and post graduates studies supervision. Dr. Ahmed M. M. Ibrahim has over 40 scientific publications in the top SCI journals and conferences. Moreover, he is a part of the editorial board of many scientific journals. Dr. Ahmed M. M. Ibrahim was awarded many national and international prestigious awards and received many funds from many international agencies like the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).

Ahmed Fouly Anwer, received the B.Sc and M.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Minia University, Minia, Egypt in 2009 and 2013, respectively. In February 2017 he finished his Ph.D. degree in Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering, School of Innovative Design Engineering, Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology, Egypt. His current interests include micro tactile sensors, micro fabrication, material science, tribology, composite materials, and contact physics,. Currently, he is assistant professor at Mechanical Engineering Department, College of Engineering, King Saud University.

"Dr Hadi Abulrub is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol, UK and a Director for Engineering Management Programme. He holds a PhD in Engineering & Executive MBA from the University of Bath. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy with more than 17 years of experience in designing industry related professional CPD courses and interdisciplinary postgraduate programmes. He is a Chartered Engineer with IMechE where he is appointed as Professional Review Interviewer for the award of professional CEng status in the UK. He is a member of the Cabot Institute for the Environment at the University of Bristol exploring entrepreneurial business models and enabling digital technologies to advance sustainable decentralised energy systems. Furthermore, Dr Abulrub was a member of Corporate Advisory Group for the Association of Project Management and was a Board Member for the Chartered Management Institute, both in the South West region, UK. He served as a Director of a renewable energy enterprise in the UK. Dr Abulrub teaching, and research activities focuses on the innovation, sustainability, digital technology, and entrepreneurship. He has numerous international publications and conducted various international workshops and training seminars in professional development and knowledge transfer in the UK and the Middle East."

Mahesh Edla is a PhD student in the School of Environment, Science and Engineering, Southern Cross University (SCU), Australia.Mahesh obtained his M.Sc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Coventry University, United Kingdom, where he worked in the piezoelectric energy harvesting field. Also, he received his B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from JNTUH, India. Mahesh's research interest is piezoelectric energy harvesting and developing linear and non-linear electronic circuit. He is now working on a study related to reducing the ripples in piezoelectric energy harvesting. His research outcomes have been published in IEEE journal. He is currently developing novel electronic circuits to charge solar batteries and power 7-segment displays using a non-linear process.

Ammar Al-Jodah, PhD candidate Monash University: Ammar received the B.Sc. degree in Control and Systems Engineering from University of Technology, Iraq, and M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, USA. Currently, he is working toward the Ph.D. degree in the Robotics and Mechatronics Research Laboratory, Monash University, Australia. His research interests include large range micro/nanomanipulation mechanisms, laser interferometry based measurement systems, robust controller design, and real-time controllers.

Dr. T. Tashtoush is an Assistant Professor at the School of Engineering at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), Laredo, TX. He got his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Systems and Industrial Engineering from State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton in 2013 and 2009, respectively, and his B.S. in Mechatronics - Mechanical Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), Irbid, Jordan on 2005. He is one of the founders and the Vise-President for The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) Laredo Professional Chapter. He is the founder, faculty adviser and team leader of TAMIU Dusty TRON and Dusty SWARM NASA Robotics teams, Dusty MOTOR Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International Team/Chapter, and the TAMIU Society of Woman Engineers (SWE) student Chapter. Additionally, he is the Faculty Advisor of TAMIU Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) Chapter, Students Engineering Council, TAMIU Students for the Exploration and Development of Space chapter, and International Petroleum Student Organization. In addition, Dr. Tashtoush is the West Officer for the Corpus Christi Section of IEEE and the advisory and facilitator for the Youth Science Leader of Laredo non-profit organization. He is a professional life member in the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), a professional member in the Society of Woman Engineers (SWE) organizations, and a life member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and the President-elect and Secretary of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society Chapter 296. He was an engineering consultant for few companies located in upstate New York, focused on new product introduction and developments. Currently, He is working as a business mentor for Mile One IBAC - Incubator Program for high-tech/engineering focused early-stage businesses in Laredo, TX In addition, he is working on a few local projects, and companies, and assisting entrepreneurs to start their business and work on their patents. He is a multi-discipline engineer, who has industrial and academic experience in the field of Systems Simulation and Design, Production Quality and Management, Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma Processes, Industrial Robotics, and Automation, Exploration and Autonomous Robotics, Artificial Intelligent (AI), Computer Integrated Manufacturing, 3D Printing Processes, Engineering Statistical Analysis, Project Management, Optimization, Instruments, and Electrical Devices, Reliability, Healthcare Systems, Nano-Technology and Energy Harvesting, and Human Factors/Egomaniacs Studies.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Emin Taner ELMAS, is a Dr. Dipl.-Ing. Mechanical Engineer, M.Sc., Ph.D., and he was born in 25/06/1974 in Sivas / Turkey. He has graduated from faculty of Mechanical Engineering as B.Sc. in 1995 and then completed his M.Sc. in "Energy" at Mechanical Engineering Department of DokuzEylul University in Izmir, Turkey and after that he received his Ph.D. in "Thermodynamics" at Mechanical Engineering Department of Ege University, in Izmir, Turkey. Asst.Prof. Dr. Elmas is an Assistant Professor of Automotive Technology at the Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies at Vocational School of Higher Education for Technical Sciences at IGDIR UNIVERSITY , Turkey. He has a joint appointment and he is also an Assistant Professor of Bioengineering & BioScience at the same university. He has also served as an "Assistant Professor" and "Head of Department" of "Energy Systems Engineering" of "Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences" at Iskenderun Technical University (ISTE) in Turkey. He also gave lectures at the Mechanical Engineering Department of Ege University and also gave lectures and conferences at other universities.
