Prof.Dr.ir. Gustaaf Schoukens was professor of polymer technology at the Ghent University (Belgium), faculty of Engineering, retired since October 1, 2014. He received his degree in Chemical Engineering from the K.U. Leuven (Belgium) in 1971 where he also obtained his Ph.D. in 1978. The subject of his Ph.D. research was "Non-linear viscoelastic behavior of dispersions". This subject has a renewed interest due to the presence of nanoparticles in the air (pollution) and even in blood and longs and their possibility to form gel-like structures. He worked as senior researcher from 1978 till 2004 in the private industry (Solvay; Central Research Laboratory) in the field of polymerization and polymer processing. In 1994 he obtained the part-time position of lecturer at the Ghent University, teaching "polymer processing". In 2004 he obtained the fulltime position of professor at the Ghent University teaching all courses concerning polymer technology, including processing and polymerization processes. He is also involved in the courses concerning "environment and sustainable development" in general and teaching the course of "rational use of materials" in particular.

Dr. Eamor M. Woo is currently Professor with Endowed Chair in Chemical Engineering Dept. of National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan. He receivedPh.D.degree fromUniversity of Texas at Austin (Austin, Texas, USA). Hehas joined faculty inDept. of Chemical Engineering of NCKU, Tainan, Taiwan since 1992 to present, with research fields focusing on polymer morphology, self-assembly in crystallization, and structures characterization of biodegradable, bio-based polymers and green materials; phase behavior and phase separation, etc. He has published over 270 highly cited original papers, with H-index=36, including severalhighly cited review articles (Prog. Polym. Sci., Crystals, Euro. Polym. J.,Polymers, Polym. Crystal,etc.), and three book chapters or edited books (Handbook of Adhesives, Encyclopedia of Polymer Science and Technology, Handbooks of Epoxy Blends (Springer-Nature), etc.), and made over 270 conference presentations internationally, with many keynotes and plenary speeches in major conferences.

Chamil Abeykoon is an Associate Professor of the Department of Materials at the University of Manchester and he is working mainly with the Northwest Composts Centre and the Aerospace Research Institute, and supervising research students affiliated with the Department of Materials and the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UoM. Chamil received the B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, in 2007, with the award of best performance in mechanical engineering, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the Queens University Belfast, U.K., in 2011, with several publications, in which one of his publications received the Young Author Best Paper Award from the IEEE in 2011. After completing the Ph.D. degree, he briefly worked as a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering with the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, a Research Fellow with the University of Bradford, U.K., and a Lecturer of Engineering with the Glyndwr University, U.K., before joining the UoM. So far, he has authored 65+ peer-reviewed journals/conference papers. Moreover, he has authored a monograph, “Polymer Extrusion: A Study on Thermal Monitoring Techniques and Melting Issues.” His current research interests include: process monitoring, modeling, and control; soft sensors and soft sensing; process instrumentation; renewable energy technologies; 3D printing, phase change materials; and heat transfer. He is an Associate Member of the professional bodies, including IESL, IMechE, IOM3 and ICPM; and also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, U.K. Moreover, he is currently serving as an Associate Editor of 7 academic journals including Composites Communications and Journal of Fluid Flow, Heat and Mass Transfer. Also, he is serving as a visiting professor of Southwest University, China. He has been served on scientific committees, and he has also been invited for keynote speeches of several international conferences.

Ph.D. Cesar Alberto Roldan Cruz, full-time professor at the University of Veracruza in the Faculty of Nutrition. He received his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana (Mexico) in 2019. He has a master's degree in Food Sciences awarded by the Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Hidalgo (Mexico) in 2015 and he is a graduate of the Food Engineering career of the Instituto Tecnologico Superior del Occidente del Estado de Hidalgo (Mexico) in 2010. He has experience in the area of biopolymers and their use in packaging materials, as well as their application in the food industry for the development of new products and functional foods. Similarly, he has worked with biomaterials of electrical importance. Having thus published articles related to these areas of research in scientific journals with national and international scope. Ph.D. Roldan is an evaluator and reviewer of many scientific journals in the area of biopolymers and is an active member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores Level 1.

Born on October 8, 1942, Kestur, Tumkur district, State of Karnataka. Received B.Sc. Degree from the University of Mysore, Mysore (1963), M.Sc. from the University of Bangalore, Bangalore (1965) and Ph.D.(Physics-Metallurgical Engg.) from the Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (1972). Presently he is Honorary Professor at the Poornaprajna Institute for Scientific Research, Bangalore. Was Visiting Scientist at EMBRAPA, Colombo, Brazil during Nov. 2012- April 2013. Was also Consulting Chief Scientist Acharya R&D Center, Acharya Group of Institutes, Bangalore (India) and Head, R&D Center in B.M.S. College of Engineering, Bangalore (India) during the period 2007-2011. Before this he was Visiting Professor (June 2003-June 2007) in the Chemistry Department at the UFRN (Curitiba-Brazil) and FINEP Visiting Researcher (April 2008-September 2009). Guided students for Masters and Doctoral programs and taught post-graduates in PIPE of the University. Served in the Regional Research Laboratory, Trivandrum of the CSIR, Government of India, in several positions, including the post of Director of the laboratory, until his retirement in October 2002. Was responsible for the initiating the Materials Laboratory in RRL-T.

Dr. Rahul M. Mane, is a Assistant Professor, researcher in the field of material chemistry at Material Research Laboratory, Department of Industrial Chemistry, Shivaji University, India. He has 10 years of Teaching and research experience in the field of synthesis and characterization of mixed metal chalcogenide thin films for solar cell application, Inorganic modifiers is core area of research. High performance materials for various applications have been developed and studied. Karl-Heinz Gresslehner was born on 27.03.1948 in Linz / Austria. After graduating from secondary school and higher technical educational school he studied Physics at the Technical University in Graz / Austria with a focus on electrodynamics. He finished his diploma in 1976 and the title of the master thesis was 'Theory of bending at the elliptical cylinder'. After that he started his dissertation at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz / Austria with a focus on experimental and theoretical physics on IV-VI compounds. He finished his PhD in 1981 and the title of the doctoral thesis was 'Electronic structure of defects in ion-implanted Pb(x)Sn(1-x)Te thin films'. More than 10 years he was working in the industry (semiconductor industry, environmental protection at the state government Upper Austria) and 24 years as a teacher at a school for higher technical education (HTL). Since 2016 he is a Professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Upper Austria teaching technical subjects such as measurement technique, physics, electrodynamics, quantum mechanics, mathematical methods for physicists, etc. and is the head of the research group Thermoelectricity.

Prof. Arun K. Nandi obtained Ph.D degree on "Studies on Polymer-Polymer and Polymer-Solvent mixing" from Jadavpur University by working under the joint supervision of Prof. B.M. Mandal and Prof. S.N.Bhattachryya at Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science in 1986. He was lecturer at Shyam sundar College, Burdwan (1983-84) and Sripat Singh College, Murshidabad (1984-86). Then he was lecturer and Sr. Lecturer at Chemistry Department, North Bengal University, Darjeeling (1986-92). He did post-doctoral work at Florida State University, USA with Prof. L. Mandelkern in crystallization of polymers (1988-89) on leave from North Bengal University. In 1992 he was appointed at Polymer Science Unit of Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science he has worked as Sr. Lecturer, Reader, Professor and Senior professor position and retired on February, 2019. His research interests focus on Polymer synthesis, polymer blends, polymer crystallization, polymer and supramolecular gels, polymer nanocomposites, biomolecular hybrids and polymer photovoltaics.He is Fellow of (a)Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore –2009 (b) W. B. Academy of Science and Technology-2006 and (c) Royal Society of Chemistry, U.K- 2014, He is Editorial board members of J. Mater.
