About Conference

Global semiconductors and optoelectronics markets are expected to reach a market value of US$ 53.0 billion by 2024 with a compound annual growth rate of 7.3 per cent. Semiconductors and optoelectronic devices have gained increasing attention for the past few years given their use on the Internet and other optical communication devices. Research in this field helps in understanding the design and operation of semiconductors, optoelectronic materials, and nanostructured materials.

To strengthen emerging experimental and theoretical research activities in these fields, OLC International is organizing the International Conference on Semiconductors, Optoelectronics and Nanostructures, scheduled to be held during March 15-16, 2021 in Vancouver, Canada. The theme of the conference is "Provoking the Development in Semiconductors, Optoelectronics & Nanostructures" which rightly focuses on new and important findings in these fields.

The event aims to facilitate the dissemination of interdisciplinary research results in inter-related and converging fields of semiconductors, nanoelectronics, and optoelectronics and encourages the participants to submit their work to gain valuable insights from established leaders in their field. Covering some of the broadly defined research areas in these fields, this conference is dedicated to bringing together a significant number of diverse scholarly events to be presented within the conference program.

The event is an ideal platform for scientists, researchers, research students, academicians and industry professionals in semiconductors, optoelectronics nanostructures studies to exchange and share their experiences and research results on different aspects of these fields. Scholarly discussions, keynote lectures, plenary talks and video and poster presentations which run across the span of the conference will be of exceptional value for all the participants.

The conference solicits contributions of abstracts, papers, and e-posters that address the topic and theme of the conference. We hope this conference will make a valuable contribution to your career and business goals while you enjoy your stay and explore the historical and beautiful city of Vancouver.

We look forward to welcoming you to ICSON-2021 in Vancouver.

Vancouver, Canada

Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, with a stunning setting between the North Shore Mountains and the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Vancouver, a bustling west coast seaport in British Columbia, is among Canada’s densest, most ethnically diverse cities. A popular filming location, it’s surrounded by mountains, and also has thriving art, theatre, and music scenes. Vancouver Art Gallery is known for its works by regional artists, while the Museum of Anthropology houses preeminent First Nations collections.

Known for its amazing scenery, Vancouver is a city that certainly takes advantage of its great location. Sandwiched between the Pacific Ocean and the Coastal Mountain range gives the city a stunning backdrop, whilst on the North Shore, just minutes from Downtown Vancouver is the North Shore Mountain range with ski resorts and spectacular views back towards the city and beyond.

Vancouver is a coastal seaport city in western Canada, located in the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia. Vancouver is consistently named as one of the top five worldwide cities for livability and quality of life, and the Economist Intelligence Unit acknowledged it as the first city ranked among the top-ten of the world's most well-living cities for five consecutive years.

There is a very high homeless population living in Vancouver. It is one of the mildest cities in Canada, so it attracts the homeless from all over the country. The area of East Hastings, where a lot of them congregate, is one of Vancouver’s darkest secrets. Restaurants in the city offer a wide range of tastes, so food enthusiasts will be in their element living in Vancouver. Vancouver is perennially voted as one of the best dining cities in North America and is always competing for foodie accolades against other major international cities such as London, Paris and New York. Vancouver is a food lover’s paradise.

Public transport in Vancouver is excellent, so it’s easy to time your trips. Translink is the main operator, running a network of buses, rapid transit trains (SkyTrain), commuter rail (West Coast Express), and sea ferry (SeaBus) between North Vancouver and Vancouver.

Port Metro Vancouver is the fourth-largest port by tonnage in the Americas, the busiest and largest in Canada, and the most diversified port in North America. While forestry remains its largest industry, Vancouver is well known as an urban center surrounded by nature, making tourism its second-largest industry.
